Clinic:Rock Music in the Movie“24 Hour Party People”

Yesterday I went to NCCU and have a mini clinic for Audio and Video Club. This is the first time in campus on weekdays. Thanks Fu-Fong to invite me and give me this precious opportunity. So many students, and lots of pretty girls, it's great to study here.

Special thx to Jess who took me to look around the campus, we met many cool people, they were all musicians and music lover. I even got a chance to visit the practice room(練團室) of Rock 'n' Roll club. It was such a great place to enjoy music and hang out with friends or band members. Jess also took me for a ride. Having a car is so convenient, hope one day I can have my own car, playing loud rock music on the freeway of California.

Later, I met Fu-Fong, who in charge of the clinic. we talked a lot before it started. She's an interesting girl. The clinic was about the movie “24 hour party people”. I made an brief introduction of the movie's background. Then I played a few songs and video clip, which are from the original soundtrack or genre related.

music:

Anarchy in U.K/Sex Pistol
Transmission/Joy Division
Temptation/New Order
24 hour party people/Happy Mondays
Spread your love/Black Rebel Motorcycle Club*
In the night/Pet Shop Boys*

video clip:
Joy Division/Atmosphere
Joy Division/Love will tear us apart
New Order/Blue Monday
Orgy/Blue Monday(cover)*

*not in the original sound track

We shared our opinions and music, It's a beautiful day with music and friends, brilliant. Hope I can have chance to visit soon.

Satisfaction

Just finished the project outline of Secure FTP, which was assigned by the professor of Cryptography and Network Security. This topic is a bit hard to search on Google, because most of the search results are tellin' me how to set up my own FTP server by using programs, but not the fundamental stuff such like programming, OpenSLL encryption.......anyway it's not very easy for me.

However, overcome those hard work is full of satisfaction.

Chords for Mrs Jackson

I just tabbed the chords of "Mrs Jackson" from the live performance of The Vines. It's an Outkast song. The Vines did great cover.

Em, D(C type), C(add a sol), D

Just a part of the beginning, sounds ok. but there's a lot more need to practice and learn. When I feel depressed, thanks god that good freiends and my guitar are near.
