Last weekend Bobby and I went to Species Records to buy needles and music. I don't know if he felt depress about the scene in Taiwan. The people who interested in real hip-hop and electronica fall behind with those who want to play guitars and be a rock star. The vinyl is really rare and expensive in Taipei. After Bobby go home. I met Rita at Luxy. The ticket was NT.900 all night. all kinds of people wait in line just for Sasha. After midnight. party was on.

The multi-channel mixing style totally kicked ass! From the beginning, long-intro of space sound effect. Then by using the filter of Xone 092 to muffle the warm up DJ's bass and drum beat, spread out the atmosphere of the party. In the middle of songs embeded various sounds, effects made by Ableton Live teased all the ravers while breakdown. Exquisite mixing with his "Maven" mixing system in his set. Brilliant.

On the other hand, the air conditioner was extremely awful. The reason was because lotus room congested with too many people. it's easy to anticipate for Sasha is one of the best DJ in the world. However, his music was really experimental, keep on breaking the structure of songs. very heavy groove from techno to trance, progresive to industry and maybe add a bit dirty punk sound. So surprise that many people intersted in this kind of music. I wonder how can he earned so many respect if he is not Sasha? I believe lots of people came to the party because they believe what Sasha play will certainly be fantastic, not for the music itself. Suppose a Taiwanese DJ plays exactly the same, can his music follow by a burst of applause just as Sasha?

Anyway, his eyes and music was so charming. he played util 5:00am. it's a wonderful night, Thx Sasha.
